How to use this paintgel for chrome designs
Step 1: Finish your manicure and product application as usual. Make sure your base is smooth—this helps with a clean chrome result.
Step 2: Apply a layer of the Chrome Controle Coat and cure for 90 seconds. This ensures the chrome powder will only stick to the paintgel, not the layer underneath.
Step 3: Using a liner brush, paint your design with the black Colortone Paintgel. Cure for 90 seconds in an LED lamp. This longer curing time ensures optimal chrome adhesion and a flawless, even finish.
Pro tip: Working on top of a chrome base? Seal it first with a base coat or the Colortone Chrome Seal Coat, cure it, then go in with your paintgel design.
Step 4: Rub the chrome pigment into the paintgel using an applicator, brush, or your finger. Use the Mini Chrome Brush to dust away excess without ruining your design.
Step 5: Seal your look with the Chrome Seal Coat to prevent chipping and lock in your design. Fully cure.
Step 6: Finish with the Chrome Top Coat for that ultimate mirror shine. Cure thoroughly.
How to use for a single color look
Step 1: Prep the natural nail: manicure, buff, and cleanse.
Step 2: Apply a base coat and cure fully. Using BIAB? Stick to your usual routine.
Step 3: Apply a thin layer of paintgel using a flat brush like the Round 6 Brush. Cure for 90 seconds.
Step 4: One coat is usually enough thanks to the intense pigment—but for more depth, apply a second thin layer and cure again for 90 seconds.
Step 5: Seal with two coats of topcoat to protect from dullness and chipping. Be sure to cure both layers properly.
