Ethel is the ultimate tool for all nail stylists. Specially designed for use during a manicure and pedicure, it has a straight cutting edge for removing dead skin from the nail plate. A good manicure using Ethel will definitely extend the life of your gel application!
Learn more about Ethel
Ethel is not a pusher and should not be used in the same way. It is super sharp and must be used carefully. Hold Ethel as you would hold a pencil; keep your grip light but firm. Place the Ethel edge flat against the nail plate and gently, without applying pressure, glide over the nail plate to loosen the dead skin. If this causes pain or discomfort, you are applying too much pressure.
Not all nails are the same. Some nails will contain a little more dead skin than others, but that does not mean that you have to apply (more) pressure to get a good result. Always make sure that Ethel's sharp edges are undamaged. If they are damaged, do not use Ethel.
