How to use Hard BIAB™
Step 1 – Nail Prep
- Sanitise both your and your client’s hands.
- Gently push back the cuticles and remove dead skin cells using a tool like TGB’s ProPrep.
- Shape the nail with a fine grit file such as the 220/40 Natural Nail File.
- Lightly buff the surface using the TGB 100/180 buffer to remove shine.
- Cleanse and dehydrate the nail plate using 100% pure acetone.
Step 2 – Base coat
- For extra protection, apply a thin layer of HEMA-free Bond Base or Rubber Base.
- Cure: 99 seconds in Low Heat Mode (e.g. with the TGB Light The Way Lamp).
Step 3 – First layer
- Apply a thin layer of Hard BIAB™.
- Cure: 99 seconds in Low Heat Mode.
Step 4 – Second layer / Build
- Apply a medium bead and distribute from side to side, avoiding the cuticles.
- Work on one nail at a time and flip the hand upside down to perfect the apex.
- Cure: 99 seconds in Low Heat Mode.
Step 5 – Third layer (optional)
- Repeat Step 4 for extra strength or length.
- Cure: 99 seconds in Low Heat Mode.
Step 6 – Refining
- Remove the inhibition layer with acetone or alcohol.
- File (120/180 grit) and buff (100/180 grit) the nail into shape, focusing on the cuticle area and free edge.
- Dust off and wipe clean with alcohol.
Step 7 – Topcoat
- Finish with your favourite Extreme Shine Top Coat.
- Cure: 60 seconds in the Light The Way Lamp.
