How to use this top coat:
Step 1: Finish your manicure so you have a clean and neat base before starting with the gel application.
Step 2: Apply a thin layer of base coat and cure it completely under the lamp. Cure time may vary depending on the brand.
Step 3: Apply a thin layer of your base color and cure it completely under the lamp.
Tip! For optimal coverage and color intensity from a pigment or chrome, it’s best to work on a white or black base. Applying chrome over a light or dark base may affect how it appears on the nail. Always test the combination to see how the chrome reacts with your chosen background color.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Chrome Top Coat and cure it for half the recommended time.
Tip! Want to create a cool chrome French or accent certain parts of the nail with a chrome effect? Use Colortone’s paint gel and cure for 30 to 40 seconds.
Step 5: Rub the chrome onto the nail using a glitter brush or eyeshadow applicator, then remove the excess powder with a clean brush.
Step 6: After rubbing the chrome in, place the hand back into the lamp to cure the gel polish fully. Use a clean brush to go over the nail again to ensure there is no loose powder left on the surface.
Step 7: Seal in your chrome design for optimal adhesion with Colortone's Chrome Seal Coat, and cure fully in your LED/UV lamp.
Step 8: Finish off with a layer of Chrome Top Coat and fully cure.
